Bridging Academia and Industry: PRIME Program in Action

Bridging Academia and Industry: PRIME Program in Action

24 November 2025

On 24th November 2025, we successfully executed the Pavement Repair & Improvement Mission Execution (PRIME) at Petron Bukit Lanjan (Northbound). A collaborative initiative between UiTM Shah Alam Faculty of Civil Engineering (FKA), Denka Construction Solutions Malaysia (DCSM), and Petron.

The PRIME program is more than a technical exercise, it’s a platform to connect classroom theory with real-world application. Students gained hands-on experience in Geopolymer technology, a sustainable and rapid solution for road pavement repair.

Key highlights of the program:
✅ Geopolymer Innovation Workshop – Exploring low-carbon alternatives to conventional cement.
✅ Site Preparation & Safety Briefing – Reinforcing industry-standard safety protocols.
✅ Road Patching Works – Applying Geopolymer material for durable pavement rehabilitation.
✅ Re-Green Pump Station – Supporting Petron’s sustainability and community engagement efforts.

For DCSM, PRIME is a strategic step forward collecting real-world performance data, refining R&D, and driving market acceptance of Geopolymer technology in Malaysia.

A big thank you to our dedicated team: Muhammad Fadzil, Mohd Syawal, and Khairul Nazhan, and to FKA UiTM Shah Alam and Petron for making this collaboration impactful. Together, we’re paving the way for innovation, sustainability, and knowledge transfer in the construction industry.
