DCSM Kaizen Presentation 2025: Driving Continuous Improvement Forward

The spirit of innovation and efficiency was on full display at the DCSM Kaizen Presentation 2025, one of DCSM’s annual flagship events dedicated to fostering continuous improvement across the organization. This year’s program saw an overwhelming response, with 89 Kaizen submissions received, 55 approved, and 15 outstanding ideas selected as finalists for presentation.

Kaizen, a cornerstone of DCSM’s culture, is more than just an event, it is a commitment to progress. The management emphasized that every employee is expected to submit Kaizen ideas, as these contributions directly impact KPI evaluations. This initiative reflects the company’s belief that continuous improvement is essential for staying competitive in an industry that is evolving and expanding beyond imagination.

Kaizen and Denka Group Core Values

At DCSM, Kaizen implementation and ideas must align with Denka Group’s core values:

  • Initiative – Taking proactive steps to improve processes and solve problems.
  • Integrity – Ensuring honesty and transparency in every improvement effort.
  • Empathy – Considering the impact on colleagues, customers, and the environment.

What Makes a Winning Kaizen?

To be approved, Kaizen proposals must demonstrate:

  • Process or practice improvement
  • Enhanced efficiency and productivity
  • Reduction of waste and resource usage
  • Optimal utilization of existing tools and materials
  • Cost-effectiveness without unnecessary expenses
  • Improved safety and reduced hazard risk

 Judging Criteria

Finalists were evaluated by top management, contributing up to 75% of the total score, while the audience vote accounted for the remaining 25%, ensuring a fair and engaging selection process.

The competition was fierce, but innovation prevailed. Here are the champions of Kaizen 2025:

Title: Re-Use of Abandoned Racking Accessories for Safety Barrier

The Best Presenter will represent DCSM at the prestigious Asian-Pacific Improvement Presentation Meeting 2026, scheduled for February 2026 at Denka Asia-Pacific Regional Headquarters in Singapore.
